The
last way to upload documents is using the explorer view in document
libraries. This is also dependent on the same components as the web
folders method, and is similar to it in that you can copy and paste
files into the folders in the document library.
To get to the
explorer view, open the document library in Microsoft Internet Explorer,
and then open the view picker to choose the Explorer View from the list
of views (see Figure 1).
The explorer view shows the document library as a folder in a frame in the window (see Figure 2).
To upload files to the
folder using this view, copy the files, and then right-click in the
frame. This will cause a security prompt to appear and warn you that the
system is trying to run code that is insecure. Select Yes to open the
right-click menu that you get when you right-click in any folder in your
machine. Then select Paste to upload the file using the regular Windows
copying mechanism, as shown in Figure 3.
