These TVs use edge or Plasma LED
backlighting technology, with slim and compact design and of the Smart TV
series. Specifically, some models have integrated NFC and Miracast which help
to easily share pictures from other devices.
Although 4K and curved OLED screens are
some bright features at the last CES 2013 exhibition, it seems that the current
TV technologies are not yet popular to replace the Full HD.
Below are the six outstanding Full-HD
resolution TVs of the year 2013:
1. LG 55LA8600
LG 55LA8600 55-inch LED TV can share
content from mobile devices thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi, WiDi, MHL, Miracast
and NFC. This product also has some outstanding features such as natural speech
recognition capabilities and "On Now" to provide a more perfect smart
TV experience. The TV uses an IPS panel (In-Plane Switching) and has a

Miracast is a connectivity standard similar
to the Apple AirPlay standard, allowing users to transmit 1080p videos and 5.1-channel
surround sound via Wi-Fi connection. Instead of using a password to sync like with
Bluetooth connectivity, you can scan a smartphone across an NFC sticker on the
TV to operate the connection.
2. Panasonic Viera TH-L55WT60
Panasonic
Viera TH-L55WT60
The Viera TH-L55WT60 TV belongs to
Panasonic’s high-end edge LED TVs. The IPS technology equipped in the product
provides a wider viewing angle and reduces the difference in color. This
55-inch LED TV has the scanning frequency of up to 200 Hz that helps images
move smoother. The TV’s local-darkening technology gives a black with deeper tones.
The product also has the ability to play passive 3D pictures without ghost or flashing,
along with the brighter overall image quality.
3. Panasonic Viera TH-P60ZT60
Panasonic
Viera TH-P60ZT60
With a thin layer of gas and a new red
phosphor material that has just been developed, Panasonic TH-P60ZT60 TV’s
Plasma Studio Master 60-inch panel provides high image quality and minimizes
image blur. The product uses an anti-glare screen filter, and helps improve the
depths of blacks.
4. Samsung UA55F8000
Samsung
UA55F8000
Besides its ultra-slim contour of only 6
mm, Samsung’s UA55F8000 TV also has supports that have been designed in a
curved and sleek style. In addition, this 55-inch LED TV also features the
improved Micro Dimming that helps minimize the "cloud". This means
brightness uniformity capabilities are better and backlight power consumption
is not remarkable. Another salient point is that this TV provides 3D images with
high brightness, 30% more than other products can do.
5. Samsung PS60F8500
Samsung
PS60F8500
The 60-inch PS60F8500 TV’s overall design is
not similar to any of other Samsung’s plasma models. With its metal unibody
cover made entirely manually, the product is equipped with a unique support.
Besides, the scratch-style metal edges also help reduce fingerprints and dirt
stains. The TV’s integrated camera can be disassembled when not in use.
6. Sony Bravia KDL-55W900
Sony
Bravia KDL-55W900
In order to improve image quality, Sony’s 55-inch
KDL-55W900 LED TV uses a panel that has the light source consisting of tiny
particles (known as quantum dots) to replace LED backlight. Launched with the brand
“Triluminos”, this completely new technology from Sony has contributed reproducing
more brilliant colors to the KDL-55W900 TV. To provide stronger bass sound, this
model uses long-tube speakers attached suitably inside but still keeps its slim
appearance.
