Stunning looks

The body-worn electronic device, though worn on eyes like Google Glass or on wrist like iWatch will have no small impacts to the appearance of the wearer, so the design is very important. After all, if their design make users hesitate when wearing these product and go outside, all advanced techs that were integrated inside will be meaningless. With the recent news, it seems that Google has already been aware of this thing and work its butt off on the design of Glass. How about iWatch? Don’t worry, Jonathan Ive and his team are still working at Apple.

Anti-sweating

Today, on many types if watch, whether mechanical or electronic, water resistance is not a kind of new thing.  The problem is that with the apps it can offer, almost surely, the smartwatch model will be worn by users every time, everywhere, even when they’re entertaining or exercising. And once it’s integrated with the heath-monitoring feature that helps users keep track of their health condition when exercising or streaming music when playing sport, there’s no reason to justify for a smartwatch not having the ability to confront the bad effects from our sweat.

Many of us like listening to music while doing exercise.

Pricing

In fact, in this stage, it will be reasonless when expecting smartwatch to be able to replace the role of smartphone, or goes with the enormous configuration parameters, ultrafast processor and super sharp screen. Thus, many people expect smartwatch will have a friendlier price for the customer’s budget, at least at the early stage. Start from the opening price of Martian Passport which is $299 and the $149 from Pebble at CES recently, the BTV CNET believes that the price range of about $200-$300 will be suitable for the next smartwatch generation to be easy to penetrate the users’ life. But no matter what happens, no one forbids us to enjoy the huge surprise in both tech and… price that the brands like Apple can offer.

Whether more or less, hundreds of bucks we have to spend will have a part for the feature, not merely serve the “jewelry” demand.

Simplicity

Nowadays, products such as Pebble Smartwatch (appear at CES), Martian Passport or even iPod Nano Nike still requires dome efforts to install and habituate. It seems that making users easy to approach and get familiar to a new generation of devices like the way iPhone has done previously is a job full of obstacles and difficulties, especially to the tiny screen of the watch. Regardless of such things, if the thing put on your wrist requires lengthy, complicated manipulations, users will have to choice but to get the smartphone out of their pocket. This is a problem that the firm must have solved if they want the smartwatch to be well received by the public.

Time

Yes, have you ever seen any list belonged to that type without the appearance of “it”? Battery – it’s the mean of support of the electronic mobile devices, the sinner of tech world, the retarded child of the researchers. Regardless of the processes of storage, processing and transmission techs… and the winged words from the project that “can increase the battery life up to 10 time” appear every few months, and until now we haven’t witnessed an actual leap for this energy storage tech. does that have anything to do with Smartwatch? A lot.

We can only take the phone out a few times during the day to answer calls, look up and update the news. But if all the aforementioned things come true on smartwatch, especially the function about music-listening, health-monitoring, notification-informing and navigating, these on-wrist computers will have to work more than the mobile device of the previous generation, despite with milder frequency, maybe.

Users can accept charging their phones, mp3 player for several hours, or even taking Google Glass of when resting, and that’s not something difficult. But is there anyone that wants to sit there and charge their clock every day? This issue will become extremely serious when the tasks on the smartwatch have become their habit. At least, the firms will have to manage so that the next smartwatch generation can be able to stand for a week under the pressure of users’ regular need, if they can’t, no matter how advanced the features are- it will be difficult to get the approval of numerous users.

In the current situation when we can’t expect much on a big revolution in the energy-stored field for the portable devices, all burdens for increasing the use time will be put on the software and microprocessor designing units to optimize the performance of the energy efficiency of these components. Of course, with the devices which are worn outside as much as smartwatch, the recharging techs from wireless power source or from the sun will also be solutions that is worth waiting for, but how efficient they are, only time can give the answer for that.
