At this time and
age, 32-inch TV are hardly remarkable with 60-inch TV around. Despite that.
Sharp continues to conccntrate on keeping the price as low as possible in the
belief that most TV buyers just want two things: a flat screen and a good
price.
With Sharp LC-32LE340M, it still stays true
to its belief without having to sacrifice any performance or feature. Let's
look at how well they build this affordable LED LCD HDTV.

Aquos LC32LE340M
1. Adequately thin
The review unit came with an
industry-standard gloss-black bezel with the bottom part of the TV
incorporating a silver strip trim, giving it a touch of character. Also, the
340M comes with fixed stereo speaker bar (two 5-watt speakers), which is
positioned behind the screen. That means to get the best from the speakers; you
need to put the 340M closer to the wall. Most of the components are stored at
the back of the TV compared to the side making it thinner. It’s also worth
mentioning that the LC-32LE340M has several ‘eco’ features. If used, Sharp
claims that its ‘standard' and advanced' power saving modes can allow the set
to consume less power.
2. View it all
The 340M has an edge backlit LED which
means it is pretty bright under normal circumstances. The viewing angles on the
340M are amazing. No matter where the sitting positions are, everything can be
seen without any glare. As for the colour accuracy, it is quite accurate after
going through a few high resolution pictures. It captures fast movement pretty
well even when not in HD. With HD, there is no blurry action scenes spotted.
However, with sports, there seem to be a slight shadow. This was spotted while
watching a tennis game in HD. At some point, there seemed to be two tennis
balls instead of one.

3. Audiophile’s nightmare
While watching movie with the 340M, there’s
little to get excited about from its onboard audio. You'll find the two stereo
speakers placed behind the TV leaving no room for them to produce much bass.
The surround sound options with its 2 channel speakers don’t really make any
difference at all. Although this clearly isn't as impressive as a home cinema
there is an effective separation that does make sense during movies. However,
with a set of good headphones, it does improve the sound quality drastically
but that's not why people purchase a TV for. Or, just opt for a good home
theatre system. While watching movie with the 340M, there’s little to get
excited about from its onboard audio.

4. Quick access
Ever-thinning bezels are one HDTV design
trend that helps larger screens to fit into smaller spaces and the same goes
with Sharp. Sure, it can’t compete with Samsung's super thin bezels but this is
more than enough for comfortable viewing The AV mode on the remote control is
much welcome as changing to brightness mode from Dynamic to Movie is made
easier. Another feature that helps a lot is the Colour Adjust button on the
remote. When pressed, it will freeze a frame rate making it easier to adjust
any colours that viewers find off.
