The brightest star in Lumia series
Nokia’s Windows-Phone-based model includes
everything a user wants for a smartphone. However, is it strong enough to rival
incredible Android phones?
As splendid as Lumia 800, Lumia 900 has
appearance inspired by N9 model. The case features polycarbonate material in
127.8x68.6x11.5mm size which makes this phone feel comfortable in palm though it
is much bulkier than Samsung Galaxy S3 (160g vs. 133g).

Screen
Nokia surpasses 4inch screen with 4.3inch ClearBlack
WVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen (480x800; 217 pixel/inch) which is
anti-glare when used in direct sunlight. It is larger than Lumia 800’s 3.7inch
WVGA screen and better at performing scrolling during advanced web-browsing and
movie-experiencing. Unfortunately, the WVGA resolution cannot compete with superior
resolutions from HTC One X (4.7inch, 312ppi) or Sony Xperia S (4.3inch, 342ppi).

Other features
Everything still runs smoothly in Windows
Phone 7.5 (Mango) thanks to Qualcomm Snapdragon single-core processor (1.4GHz)
which is, theatrically, overpowered by Galaxy S3’ 4212 Quad Exynos processor
(1.4GH). However, in fact, Snapdragon provides no slow performance when
running apps and navigating Mango. Beside this fast CPU, Lumia 900 gives user 8MP
auto-focus camera plus Carl Zeiss optics ready for high-quality images and HD
movies (720p, no 1080p) with no lagging. Besides, there are some excellent apps
available, such as Nokia Drive giving street guiding via voice.
Sadly, user can only have 16GB storage
which cannot be extended due to lack of micro-SD slot. However, you will
receive additional 7GB cloud storage free through Microsoft SkyDrive.
Conclusion
While Lumia 900 of Nokia is powerful enough
to beat its brothers, single-core processor, no-HD display as well as incompatibility
(of some apps) with WP8 mean that it doesn’t lead the top of most necessary
upgrade of user. We hope you won’t get into this situation because Lumia 900,
of course, is the best Windows Phone we have ever checked.
