Crestron: Mobile Pro
No newbie, Crestron has nevertheless just
announced the latest updates to its Crestron Mobile and Crestron Mobile Pro
control apps. While remaining intuitive and simple to use, the new apps have an
improved scope for design, while continuing to deliver an unparalleled user
experience.
Having added more features, such as
built-in support for gauges and sliders, programmers are now able to easily
create intuitive touch-control effects in no time. Lowering shades in the
bedroom with a finger swipe on the iPad or iPhone, or setting and checking room
temperatures from animated graphical gauges is a breeze. Also, homeowners and
facilities managers can now stream video from security cameras, or from any
video source, through a Crestron Network Streamer or any MJPEG device, directly
on their mobile device.

family. Now, the full features of Crestron and Prodigy touch panels are
available in a mobile format.
Crestron Mobile and Mobile Pro apps turn
any Apple mobile device into a powerful Crestron or Prodigy touch screen,
enabling reliable, whole home and building control from anywhere in the world.
Users can control lighting, thermostats, and audio settings and view streaming
video in multiple locations, such as a primary residence, holiday home and
office, or across a campus. The ultra-intuitive graphical interface also
provides real-time feedback, displaying status of room temperatures, audio
volumes and metadata including album, song and artist, shade positions and lighting
levels, all on the mobile device screen.

equipment, security systems, lighting, heating systems and other devices
locally via Wi-Fi and remotely via 3G/4G.

“There is a definite trend towards
convergence currently,” explains Michael Roberts, Invision UK Product Manager.
“With people discovering the versatility of smartphones as a means of managing
information, communications and entertainment, it’s not surprising that they
want to combine the array of controllers they use in to one convenient and
intuitive device.”
Compatible with the ProLink.z control
processor, ProPanel also boasts an auto-programming feature to enable fast
creation of a fully functioning system. It allows users to build both portrait
and landscape views with no extra programming required and it supports full
two-way feedback, including cover art, graphics, text, dynamic scrolling lists,
and more.
