American
designer Michael Kors has created some tech products that are both practical
and stylish - they're easy to stash away in a handbag while on the move and
very useful, these innovative inventions are smart and sophisticated. One
product is a phone charger, made to resemble a chic lipstick and covered in the
designer's logo - it's very small and can quickly connect to your phone via
micro USB to charge it whenever you're running low on battery. Michael has also
created a Duracell Powermat Kit For iPhone 5/5s, which charges wirelessly by
simply "placing your phone—in the battery case—on the PowerMat, center to
center" - it's that easy. Along with chargers, Kors already has a wide
range of iPhone, iPad and other cases, as well as logo earphones.
These
forward-thinking tech accessories are just the beginning for the famous fashion
designer, who recently revealed his plans to move into the wearable tech
industry. John Idol, chief executive of Kors, commented on the designer's
plans: “We will be in wearables, so I will tell you that that is coming from
Michael Kors. And we have a whole strategy around it.”
Idol
added that the company is not in a rush to stay up with what's happening in the
industry, and they'll simply be bringing their own touch to what customers are
looking for in technology and fashion: “We’re not interested in being the first
one to rush to the race. What we want to make sure is that we have an ecosystem
that our customer really believes in and think[s] they’re viable additions to not
only their fashion wardrobe, but also to how they live their life."
