Huawei is set to launch its very own user
interface in July, named 'Emotion UI’. As a
direct rival to HTC's Sense and Samsung's TouchWiz, Huawei has said that its
new user interface will wear a simple look, with smart additions throughout.
Although nothing has been confirmed, many believe that Huawei's delayed release
of its flagship Ascend D Quad device will now include the new UI.

gamers will be able to flex their thumbs a little more with the new Nyko
controllers. Developed as part of a partnership between chip manufacturer
NVIDIA and Nyko, the range of controllers will be made exclusively for all

shoulder and face buttons, and the smaller PlayPad coming with a carry case and
foldable stand.

getting bigger, ViewSonic has blown the competition out of the water with its
behemoth 22-inch 'tablet'. The VCD22 is part tablet, part monitor, but will run
Ice Cream Sandwich alongside a 1GHz dual-core processor. There are three
full-size USB slots, micro HDMI and micro SD ports, as well as 1.2-megapixel
camera. There's no news on pricing or a solid release date as of yet, but don't
expect to be carrying it around on your daily commute.

On a similar but smaller note Acer has
unveiled another tablet in its Iconia range, this time one that looks set to
compete with Amazon's Kindle Fire. The Iconia A110 will have a quad-core
processor, a seven-inch display and run Ice Cream Sandwich, and it will be
priced at a touch under $200. Information on availability around the world has
not yet been announced, but the device marks another step in the gradual move
that Android tablets are making from the premium market to a more affordable
price point, without compromising on either the power or the quality.
On the app front Instapaper has become
perhaps the last of the big name iPhone apps to have made its way to Android.
Instapaper is a simple app that enables users to save long form web articles to
read at a later date while offline. The app became one of the most popular
news-related apps on iOS, along with similar apps from its genre such as Read
It Later which are already available for Android phones.
