Beautiful, relaxing, enchanting just some
of the words used by players to describe this meditative puzzle game. The
premise sounds so simple as to be inane wrap some rope around some wooden
sculptures except that you must ‘colour’ the sculpture completely using a rope
of finite length. The contortions and trajectories you choose in the course of
colouring must therefore be extremely economical if you are to succeed. It’s a
precise Endeavour and not without difficulty; thankfully any frustrations are
quickly offset by the stunning graphics and serene atmospherics, all of which
makes Zen Bound 2 a game that’s lived rather than played. And with the benefit
of a Retina display, it’s an experience you’ll surely want to repeat.
