Sennheiser PC 323D G4ME

PC 323D G4ME of Sennheiser includes one version of PC320 headphones and 3D G4ME 1 USB sound card, which can broadcast 5.1 or 7.1 virtual surround sound. The most comfortable thing is the headphone. The ear cup is split into an outer cover and an ear-surrounded inner buffer which is designed to be tiled and horizontal to your skin.

Even though it sounds a little bit plastic, the headphone is very light and it doesn’t make your ears too hot. This is the thing that we highly appreciate throughout the long-time gaming sessions. It’s less bulky than many gaming headphones, but still has industrial dark-gray fitness plastic design which is shared by many rivals. The padded plastic headband allows you to adjust the fitness of the headphones.

The left-side microphone can be folded out to avoid tangle, but it can’t be moved or adjusted by other ways. A brilliant feature is that the way the microphone turns to the silent mode when you lift one side of the microphone up. A volume control for the headphones is pre-installed neatly to the right-side ear cup; you just need to rotate the face of it.

Many gaming headphones has echo bass sound which creates stunned explosions yet overwhelm other things, but this headphones are good to listen to music, watch movies and play games. Bass is rich, vivid and excellent to punching and kicking sound as well as explosions; besides, we also have balanced and wide mid-range, and the high voice is beautiful yet brassy. Ear cups have open driver which creates louder and more natural sounds, more than what you are going to hear from headphones with close ear cup. Unfortunately, they can’t block much noise from the background.

The virtual surround sound is pretty boring as compared with other audio processor such as Axx SBX 8 of Creative. It doesn’t totally disappear, but the sound of the movie doesn’t bring about space impression. However, this is not easy to realize when talking about game.

PC 323D is expensive and its virtual surround sound can be better, but if you are looking for a combination of all-in-one gaming sound card and headphones for enjoying music, this one is very ideal. 2 years in warranty also brings you safety. This is one of our new favorite sound card and gaming headphones, but if you don’t have much money and you don’t hesitate about permanent USB connection, GameCom 780 of Plantronics is another good choice.
