Avoid using at high-humidity places

As many other electronic devices, the components inside iPod normally don’t have waterproof features. Just a sprinkle of water or being drop to the puddle, it will be broken. If you’re stuck in such condition, just calm down and turn off the device, and put the device into a bowl full of rice for a whole night. Dry rice will absorb all the water and helps removing the steam from the components; in some cases, this can recover the operating state of the device.

Don’t put iPod at places with direct sunlight for too long

iPod screen is super-sensitively designed and easy to be broken due to temperature. If you charge iPod on a car on a sunny day, cover it by a cloth or a newspaper.

Use iPod battery properly to increase use time

The simplest and easiest way to save the battery is to lower half of the screen brightness or to the lowest if possible. If you’re using iPod Touch, enable auto adjust screen brightness mode by entering Settings > Brightness & Wallpaper > Auto-Brightness. Besides, users can save battery by enable the Screen Lock mode that auto lock the screen if the device doesn’t work in a certain period of time. Turning off the wireless connection such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth while not use is a good way to avoid wasting battery remarkably.

Use the screen veneer and protective cover

The veneer will help iPod screen stay away from scratches when accidentally putting in the pocket with other hard objects like coins or keys. Meanwhile, the covers or cases will help to protect the phone back body from scratching and bumping. Now, there’re plenty of covers and case models on the market; among them, the hard cover helps to better protect the iPod in cases of accidentally falling or dropping, and the rubber or silicon one helps user hold the iPod easily.

Clean iPod regularly and properly

Use a soft and wet cloth as well as mild detergent when cleaning the device. As for noting, don’t try to clean it with alcohol even when the iPod is too dirty or stuck in stains that are difficult to remove. Using alcohol to clean iPod Touch will damage the life-span of the device screen and reduce sensitivity.
