For only $150, Coex CMC-M055 is an Android HD/3D Player having the best price in the market, plus digital TV.

CMC-M055 is Coex’s first official Android device in Vietnam. Despite Realtek 1186 chipset, Android OS, 3D support and other features of a digital receiver, the price is amazingly $300, which is considerably cheaper than other Android models like HiMedia HD900B or Datage HD Pro i6.

Coex CMC-M055 gets a fashionable compact design in glossy-black plastic case. The front is simply curved with only LED light and power button, no monitor. In the right side are connectors of USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and card slots. In the back lie ports standardized for HDMI 1.4 O (3D and HD), AV Composite and Component, Coaxial/ Optical digital audio lines, LAN output, In/Out antenna output for receiving digital contents.

3.5inch is inside the case. User has to remove the metal lid due to lack of a sliding tray. However, thanks to a high-speed USB 3.0 connector, transferring data is quite simple without opening case to get the HDD. To enjoy Wi-Fi feature, an external USB antenna is required.

Because of owning newest Realtek 1186, Coex HD/3D Player is quite fast. Startup time of whole system including Android 2.2 OS takes nearly 1 minute. The device’s simple interface also helps user’s quick operation with less lagging when remote control is used. The model runs on Android 2.2, supporting apps, games HTML5 web browser.

The model supports popular HD and 3D formats including virtual Blu-ray discs. They are classified in categories: movies (also viewed in cover arts), music and photo. In a test, we played a 10GB HD movie in the 2.5inch mobile HDD; streaming time at first was slow. Though, display quality was good, sound and subtitle processes are flexible. Rewind/forward/skip features were fast with no lag.
