The portrait pictures with flash showed
that there is less red-eye and the details are very sharp, even though camera
could have to focus in weak light conditions with 20-50mm kit lens. Camera
demonstrated reliable exposure with brightly saturated colors.

20-50mm kit lens is equivalent to 30-75mm
lens and runs well with picture distortion and minimum pincushion distortion,
with editing features in camera even though chromatic aberration and purple
edge are noted a lot. The details are very good with kit lens; camera brings
sharp and detailed photos in good conditions of light. Macro productivity is
reasonable while the minimum focusing distance of 28 centimeters is not really
impressive. Using lens of 50mm will get the best result.

ISO range is from ISO100 to ISO25600. The
low noise is up to ISO1600. There are a few details lost at ISO3200 because of
increase of noise. Once more time, details are lost at ISO6400 and this result
is not as good as NX300, and appears hot pixel. ISO12800 shows the noise is in
high level and this setting, as well as the highest setting of ISO25600 had
better avoid.

Auto white balance (AWB) operates well
under white lights, with preset white light gives quitter warmer pictures. AWB
also performs well under fluorescent light, with preset fluorescent light
brings pictures that lost balance in yellow. There are three modes of preset fluorescent
light; each mode makes pictures lost balance at different colors; and to get
the most effectiveness, camera has manual AWB adjustment.

Panorama mode is integrated will take
panoramic photos automatically when you only press shutter button and hold it
while moving around. You can take horizontal or vertical panorama photos and
results are good with lots of details.

selected. Changing to HDR mode, raw shooting is no longer when camera takes a
number of pictures and combines them into one picture with expanded dynamic

Picture Wizard gives you some available
pre-installed color modes, as well as Custom 1/2/3 where you can change color
shades, saturation, sharpness, and contrast. Intelligent filters are another
way to apply the effects; however, they are only in JPEG shooting mode and also

of videos. Removing wind, as well as turning off recording is an option.
Because 20-50mm kit lens does not integrate the optical image stabilization
(OIS), videos are not as smooth as in other lenses with OIS, and continuous AF

Samsung NX2000 costs $749 (RRP) and this
price makes it valuable, especially when you have Adobe Lightroom coming freely
in the box. Although Sony NEX – 5N now is leading on the top of this line with
the lowest price and it goes with 16-50mm OSS lens. If you do not need or want Adobe
Lightroom, you will probably like that camera because it is cheaper, even
though it is no doubt that its price will be reduced over time.

Conclusion
Samsung NX2000 is a quite small mirror-less
camera with 20.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor with high resolution, and large
3-inch touchscreen on the back. Camera brings surprising image quality with
fantastic levels of details and color with good noise productivity. The camera
has good level of control, large touchscreen can support in this issue, and even
though pictures are not good enough when outdoor.
Samsung NX2000, a camera of Samsung NX
line, uses a series of different lens including some basic and small lenses
such as 10.5mm eye-fish, 16mm wide angle, 20mm and 30mm basic lenses. 20-50mm
kit lens creates good level of details and is also quite small; although there
is no optical image stabilization and slow focusing speed will make you
depress, especially if you are supposed to make videos, so you had better use
wider 18-55mm OIS kit lens.
With the large number of lenses, wonderful
image quality and impressive Wi-Fi sharing feature, Samsung NX2000 deserves to
be considered carefully. 3.7-inch touchscreen has impressive resolution and it
helps to use camera more easily, even in taking photos and reviewing modes.
