details across the picture. There is no visible of purple fringing. The lens

macro shots.
ISO
sample photos
The
noise is low at ISO 100 and remains the same at ISO 200 and 400
At ISO 100, the noise is low, and it
remains unchanged at ISO 200 and 400. The image quality would slightly decrease
when ISO reaches 800, as some areas become softer. The noise gets worse at ISO
1600, but not much. When ISO achieves 3200, a great deal of details is lost
with a slight smudged appearing in some places. The loss of details gets
greater at ISO 6400, but after resized and shared on the websites, the images
still look OK at this highest ISO setting.
AWB testing sample photos
Shots
under Incandescent light
Shots
under fluorescent light
Under the tungsten light of the studio, the
auto white balance performance gives us a slight color cast. When using the
tungsten preset, the images are better. Under the fluorescent light, AWB shows
good performance, with bright color cast when the fluorescent preset is
activated.

Verdicts
The Olympus XZ-10 is another version of the
XZ-2 but cheaper. This product, however, provides slightly more optical zoom,
and it is smaller, lighter, but this costs the tilting screen in return. The
XZ-10 is also lack of other functions like Wifi and GPS, which can be really
desired on a modern compact camera. Put these aside, you still get a set of
variety features, including 5 fps continuous shooting, full 1080p HD video
recording and a close focusing distance of 1cm. Manual controls and RAW shots
are also given. The price of the XZ-10 is very reasonable, which makes it one
of the less expensive compacts around. It creates beautiful photos, so we are
happy to recommend it to you.
