6700 Premium and WP-4521 were at the head of the pack. However, the Officeject
6700 Premium lost by a hair’s breadth to the WP-4521, which managed 11pm. For
color prints, the Wp-4521 blazed ahead of the competition with an impressive
7ppm.

Print Quality
The Officejet 6700 Premium had the best
color saturation when it came to printing documents with a mix of black text
and color graphics. In terms of text sharpness, the Officejet 6700 Premium
topped the ranks, followed by the WP-4521. While both the Brother and Canon
printers displayed very dark blacks, the resulting text from both weren’t as
sharp upon closer inspection.

Copy Speed
While the HP Officejet 6700 Premium
performed pretty in the print speeds, it fell behind when it came to copying
speeds. The MX897 and MFC-J825DW were neck to neck when copying monochrome
documents but the WP-4521 still managed to outrun them both with 4.2cpm. for
copying color documents, the MFC-J825DW performed the best, with 4.1cpm.

Copy Quality
In terms of copying documents with a mix
text and images, the Officejet 6700 Premium, MX897 and WP-4521 all produced
black text that were relatively sharp, though you’ll notice a similar trend as
in the print quality test for black output. The surprise here is the Officejet
6700 Premium’s color saturation, which was far lighter in comparison, which
affected the crispness of its text as well. The WP-4521 managed to trump
everyone else in terms of color saturation.

Photo Print Speed
All the printers managed to churn out an A4
photo print in less than two minutes, with the MFC-J825DW clocking in at 1
minutes and 54 seconds, while the WP-4521 sped on ahead at a blistering 1
minute and 22 seconds.
Photo Print Quality
The MX897 produced the best photo prints in
terms of colors, with good vibrancy and the highest accuracy out of the four.
The MFC-J825DW produced the sharpest photo prints, but colors were slightly
washed out. While the Officejet 6700 Premium performed well in the document
print test, it faltered when it came to printing photos, with blacks appearing
muted, and whites possessing a slight orange tinge. The WP-4521 produced the
most balanced photo, while resolution wasn’t top-notch, was sharp with balanced
colors, though contrast could be slightly better.
