EA4500
Linksys EA4500 is another cheap choice for AirPort Extreme
of Apple. It provides similar features. But if you look for, you can buy it
with price that is nearly $150 while Extreme’s price is $208.
EA4500 is 802.11n wireless router that has 2 wavebands can
transmit in 2 bandwidths: 2.4GHz and 5GHz to ensure the maximum efficiency for
above tasks like transmitting video. It has 6 inside antennas that can provide
strong Wi-Fi signal. In addition, it was successful in pushing good signal into
dead point in my office - this is the thing that old BT HomeHub router often
struggle.
There are also 4 Gigabit Ethernet gates that are behind
equipment are used for landline connections and one USB jack. However, like
Airport Extreme, EA4500 lacks in modem that is set up for Internet connection
with your broadband. This thing means that you will need to connect it with
modem or present router.
However, its software aspect is well-done. Linksys Setup
program quickly takes you to cross installing process and provides simple
choices for tasks such as setting up general USB archive and accessing guest
for network. You can even take priority for special applications to provide the
highest efficiency to transmit video or play online game.

It’s a pity that EA4500 doesn’t have available modem.
However, if you aren’t afraid to relate to present modem or router, EA4500 is
rather cheap and flexible, and it will improve range and trust of home network
or your present office.
