Nokia Lumia 822 is the pride of Espoo comes back
to Verizon Wireless.
It is three years. That has been the time
since Nokia phone offered a phone for the largest network in the US: a unique
device called Twist (now completely forgotten). Needless to say, the appearance
of the Lumia 822 at Verizon Wireless comes at the time of survival for Nokia,
which has to be quickly stabilized in the United States if the company hopes to
remain a strong competitor in the smartphone sector. It's a big burden to carry
on one’s shoulders - even for the mighty giant Finn.

Fortunately, the Lumia 822 is very suitable
to help establish beachhead on the shores of Liberty status. At the price of
$100 on the contract, it is a good value and deserves to be considered from
people who change the operating system and the first-time smartphone buyers. It
lacks the high-end screen and phenomenal camera of the Lumia 920, but with
larger built-in storage and a better front-facing camera, it narrowly beats the
AT&T’s Lumia 820 and T-Mobile's Lumia 810. Adding Data Sense - a
compressing feature and data monitoring of Windows Phone 8, but now, it is only
exclusive to Verizon – the Lumia 822 phone easily turns into the most
attractive mid-range Windows Phone series of Nokia. Even if its design a bit
... vapid.
Hardware
Have you ever lied to someone that they
looked beautiful only not to hurt their feelings? That fundamental reason might
be good for humans but it is completely unnecessary with smartphones. Unlike
the elegant Lumia 810 or the odd Lumia 820, the Lumia 822’s design lacks any
similarities of style. First of all, in a change from its siblings, the phone’s
face is not a clean glass that has a plastic ledge at the bottom showing the
Verizon logo prominently. Moreover, the Lumia 822 is only available in black,
white and gray, and it also lacks a unique removable shell which is a
particularity of the Lumia 810 and 820. Instead, you will find a trivial
plastic rear lid containing Carl Zeiss branding on the camera and a 4G LTE logo
at the bottom. In short, if the Lumia 822 makes any heads turn back, make sure
it's for the wrong reasons.

The Lumia 822 is also rather thick, and we
would be urged to suggest that it should lose a little weight - if it does not
feel good in the hand. Each of the device controls is arranged to the right,
which includes the volume rocker, power button and dual-stage camera button.
While the Lumia 822 might not nice to look at, its design is partially made up
for by the excellent layout of the controls and ports. Whether you are left- or
right- handed, you will not encounter any problems when increasing the volume
or waking up the device, even the camera button is well laid for the landscape
use. At the top, you will find a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack and a secondary
microphone. Along the bottom, a micro-USB port is located between the speaker
and main microphone. If you pay your attention closely, you'll notice that
ambient light and proximity sensors on the left front-facing camera. However,
what you will not find out is a notification light, which is included in the
more expensive HTC 8X.

Fortunately, if you are willing to look
beyond the strange design of the Lumia 822, you will see the real beauty within
it. The phone consists of a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, which provides a fast and
efficient dual-core 1.5GHz CPU and an Adreno 225 GPU. Along with support for
interior EV-DO and LTE networks of Verizon, visitors will appreciate that the
device is set up for the international use. Here, you will find a quad-band
support for GSM and WCDMA networks. The Lumia 822 also provides 802.11a/b/g/n
(Wi-Fi), Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, GLONASS and NFC. If you are considering both of
the Lumia 822 and 8X HTC, there are several factors that might tend to Nokia’s
favor include a removable 1,800mAh battery and a microSD expansion slot - two
features that are totally absent from the high-end HTC 8X.
Nokia
Lumia 810 & Lumia 820
The Lumia 822 has a 4.3 inch ClearBlack
AMOLED display, and although its resolution of 800x480 (WVGA) cannot catch up
with the pixel density of the 720p HTC 8X or qHD Droid RAZR M, Nokia’s
mid-range rival provides a variety of space for content, vibrant colors, deep
black and excellent viewing angles.
As Nokia's other Windows Phone 8 devices,
the touch screen is more sensitive than its rivals in the competition, which
means that you will encounter less problems when controlling the device with
your fingernails or when wearing gloves. As another unique advantage, Nokia's
ClearBlack technology combines a polarized filter that significantly betters
the screen’s ease-of-viewing feature in direct sunlight. We are also pleased to
announce that the Lumia 822 offers a true RGB matrix screen that renders text
fresher than WVGA rivals with the PenTile matrix (RGBG) matrix.
