Must-have music apps (Part 1)
Ultimate Guitar Tabs for Android
Price: $3.99
System requirements:
Google Android 1.6 or more
Rating: 3.5 stars
Ultimate Guitar
Tabs nurtures the illusion of the amateur guitarists who still think that they
would sell all their tickets at the stadium and have a showcase tour in
Britain.
Application is the sub-product from
ultimate-guitar.com, where members upload the chords used to play the specific
songs to let other people learn. It can be in the form of normal chords, or tab
which help to simplify how music is written and read. Once being uploading to
websites, other members can score the data about its preciseness. With over a decade,
Ultimate Guitar database has the exact tab for almost all of the songs that you
can imagine dung. This $3.99 application provides access to that database in a
more suitable structure than your Android equipment. More importantly, it
allows you to save your favorite tabs to access offline then. Both applications
and websites offer a great feature allowing you to click an unfamiliar chord
and enter phonetic with visual image of where your fingers are put on a guitar
to play it. Ultimate Guitar Tabs also have useful auto-scrolling features for
you to set up your own rhythm. This is valuable, which lets you play the song
throughout without stopping and scroll down the page to see the next group of
chords.
The application “Ultimate Guitar Tabs Android”
includes “Tab packs”, which is automatically downloaded to your equipment. They
are differently classified sets of tab which can arouse the necessary
inspiration in you for the song you want to learn next time. The categories are
divided by type and / or difficulty, and Ultimate Guitar Tabs can offer something
for all users.

GarageBand for iOS
Price: $4.99
System requirements
iPad/iPhone 3GS/4/4S/iPod touch (generation 3; 4), iOS 4.3 or more
Rating: 4 stars
GarageBand has been a favorite application for Mac
users for a long time and it was used by Steve Jobs to emphasize iPad 2’s
processing power when displaying it. Now, there is a version for iPhone and
iPod touch, although it only supports an octave compared with 3 of the iPad.
GarageBand allows you to create tracks with multiple instruments, sampled and
recorded directly. You do not only have a virtual drum set but also have an
option between electric guitar and simple normal guitar. There are 6 options
for drum set, live rock, studio and some electric drum set.
You can record, repeat and test tracks,
then combine them. Musical instruments appear in the form of symbols next to
the accompanied track, and repeat them in a time frame (timeline) to know where
each instrument begins. You can use up to 8 instruments in a track, and you can
cancel them with a single click.
You can import
audio by clicking the instrument icon at the top of the screen. GarageBand file
supports AIFF, WAV, CAF, Apple Loops, AAC and MP3, as well as anything you have
created in the desktop version of the software.
GarageBand seems pretty simple for you to "vọc"
normally, but it offers many functions. There is no right or wrong way to
start: you can use parts of the sample track, hit a sound you like, and save it
or apply effects. The instruments are lacking support in iPod or iPhone
version, although you can plug into the electric guitar.
Identification
Monitor of
iPhone or iPod touch is not ideal for typing lightly on the keyboard. But if a
melody in your mind comes up, you have to write it down before you forget,
GarageBand proves to be ideal.
