Canon EOS-1 DX (Part 1)
One of the main features of the ID X is the very impressive 12 frames per second, which can go up to 14 in high speed mode. I’m used to 11 on the D4 and I’m wondering if the extra will really make a difference. Another key feature is the impressive ISO range of 100 to 51,200 which can go up to 204,800 when expanded.
Digital SLRs Market Overview
The D-SLR market continues to grow strongly, driven by the arrival of models offering significant incentives to upgrade while also largely weathering the rise and rise of the compact system cameras.

Fujifilm X-E1 - The Perfect Travel Camera
Fujifilm launched the X system earlier this year with the X-Pro 1. Although the camera was well received, its pricing seemed likely to limit its appeal. Compact Camera Shootout (Part 3) : Canon IXUS125 HS, Fujifilm FinePix F660 EXR, Nikon Coolpix S8200, Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ1, Samsung WB150F
The Samsung WBI 50F's user interface is very well designed for novice users. The camera is quick to power on but there was a slight lag in between the photos. The image quality produced by the WB I 50F is good with slightly high contrast levels. Though it still manages to make the photos look pleasing. The colours reproduced were true and vivid. When zoomed in to a 100% scale, we noticed an overall softness in the images. The white balance on the auto mode was accurate too.
Compact Camera Shootout (Part 2) : Samsung WB150F, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H100, Olympus SP-620 UZ
With a 14.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, the Samsung WB 150F comes equipped with an I 8x Schneider Kreuznach, 24-432 mm optically stabilised lens. Samsung has been turning some heads with their new range of smartphones and they have managed to keep it up with their cameras as well.
Compact Camera Shootout (Part 1) : Canon IXUS125 HS, Fujifilm FinePix F660 EXR, Nikon Coolpix S8200, Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ1
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZI is a sleek camera with a simple design. The point-and-shoot is fairly easy to use, with the controls designed ergonomically. The shutter, zoom, quick movie, microphone and power button are located on the top of the camera. The camera fits well and provides a decent grip while shooting, but it would be advisable to use the wrist strap as well.
