The

The camera stands out with a metal body
having surprisingly fine and compact structure when carrying a 10x zoom lens. There’s
a small grip at the back or front but the front has patterns, forming the grip,
despite using strap is certainly recommended. Structured quality is good with
the on-hands camera feeling good, and the ultra-compact size means that it can
easily slide into your pocket and forgotten. The number of the buttons and
controls on the back and on top of the camera is good, though the size is small
and the image/panorama/video switch combined with the playback button makes it
easier to switch modes.
The
menu system is easy to navigate
The menu system is easy to navigate,
pressing the menu button to access the shooting option, if you want to change
the camera settings, glide downward and you will see an option presented by a
briefcase icon, allowing accessing them.
To use Wifi you need to install the free PlayMemories
app on your own smartphone. Pairing the devices and using the apps are easy.
You can transfer images and videos, as well as apps to take photos of them. You
can control zoom and timer settings with the app.
Battery
life is rated at 220 images
Battery life is rated at 220 images according to the test result of Sony / CIPA, an average
level for an ultra-compact camera, though using Wi-Fi seems to reduce the
possible shots.

We take some shots to test the
responsiveness of the camera, from starting up to the first shot, one by one,
focusing speed… We take some shots and then get the average of them to make
sure that the test is accurate and consistent, making comparing to other
cameras easier.
