Fuji Xerox DocuPrint M205FW promises to print your documents quietly and efficiently

Efficiency is a big word to be thrown around where productivity machines are concerned. There is a lot to the word efficiency other than "how fast'' or "how much" a machine can churn out, but leave other aspects of the machine up in the air. Fuji Xerox aims to kick this bad habit to the curve, and to that end, they've come up with the DocuPrint M205FW.

Description: Description: Fuji Xerox DocuPrint M205FW - It's All Black And White

The M205FW is a business printer through and through. It is a multifunction printer (MFP) that performs multiple tasks such as print, scan, copy and also fax. Note, though, that the M205FW is a monochrome printer, so it's strictly made for document printing in the office where printers are constantly abuzz with activity.

Despite this, the M205FW is a printer of great quality. Its LAN and WiFi capability allows the printer to be shared amongst colleagues in the same office environment, so you really only need one printer in the office.

Where printing quality and efficiency is concerned, the M205FW isn't a slowpoke. With a first page out time of about 10 seconds and a page per minute (ppm) count of 25ppm, the M205FW is excellent for printing out documents from monthly sales reports to business documents.

The copy and scan features resolutions of up to 600 x 600 dpi and 1200 x 1200 dpi (optical) up to 4800 x 4800 dpi respectively. The scan feature particularly shines here as it also has an ID card copy feature (that copies the front and back of the card simultaneously). Edge Erase and the Collate feature that puts all your scanned documents in one file.

But what makes the M205FW a truly efficient printer? For starters, the toner cartridge for the M205FW is about the size of two small cans of cat food stacked together, and yet is capable of printing up to 20,000 pages of documents in one duty cycle. The size of the cartridge is also important here as the smaller the cartridge the easier it is to recycle.

Not only that, the M205FW also has a feature called Toner Saver Mode that uses even less toner, which helps increase the lifespan of the cartridge by a significant amount, allowing for more documents to be printed. Plus using Fuji Xerox's S-LED print technology, the printer actually uses less power than other conventional inkjet or laser printer.
