Unlike the last year’s Unibody design, Desire SV design comes in 3 separate parts: back lid, frame and display.

The back lid is still made of rough polycarbonate, delivering a firm handle yet it easily get scratched and sweated. The back is also curved, making the product thicker than old models but it would fit perfectly in palm.

The frame is painted to look metal-like, matching the back’s color

The frame is plastic-made and colored similarly to the lining which is painted metal-like. Though made of plastic, details and buttons were well processed, looking like metal-made.

Below the back lid, SIM tray and memory card are placed around the camera. The arrangement allows for quick changing without the need of shutting down the system.

The screen, which used to be inside the frame, now emerges and is surrounded by a plastic color-matching fringe. The stereo appears in a long bar with outlets, which produce good sound yet easily get dirty.

The display is a 4.3in Super LCD 2, plus 480x800pixel resolution, providing clear image. Colors were nice and accurate, with high contrast. It could deal with bright-lit conditions and large viewing angles.
