Galaxy S4 vs iPhone 5 - The One Launched Later Is Not Necessary Better (Part 2)

Features and software

Being the latter, of course Samsung Galaxy S4 is inherited with a lot of new techs and features. Among them, Air View, Air Gesture using the front camera to watch the hand movements or embossed feature is what we’ve never seen before on Phone 5.

However, it’s not necessarily that all the new features Galaxy S4 has can’t be found on iPhone 5. As an example, Galaxy S4 has S Translator feature that helps to translate 10 languages, and iPhone has Mail Translator or Google Translate, S4 has S Health then iPhone 5 is supported with DailyBurn Tracker / ProtoGeo Moves. Galaxy S4 can use WatchON to control the other devices like TV or DVD player, then iPhone 5 has Cable Apps though the level of support is not as diversified as of the product of Samsung. Camera on S4 has a pretty cool feature which is Dual Shot but on iPhone 5 we can use DuoCam with the same function. A feature that is somewhat show the PR of S4 is Group Play but you can replace it with App Factory Jukebox Hero at iPhone 5. Or Photo Reader of S4 is almost similar to IntSig CamCardFree on iPhone 5. Finally, Samsung Knox is not dissimilar to Enterproid Divide.

Many users think that Samsung is trying to stuff S4 with a lot of new features in list format but in fact, the frequency of use is not high. Eventually, some Samsung customers who have already used Galaxy S3 before let us know that they usually turn off the utilities the Korean electronics firm provides so as to save battery.

Meanwhile, in terms of number correlation between the app store of Android and iOS, both of them are almost similar but the moderate quality Apple App Store is higher and stricter Google Play Store. The interesting game titles are normally affectionately distributed for the iOS platform exclusively or first by the developers. Thus, when taking features and app into account, iPhone 5 is not inferior to Galaxy S4.

In terms of software sensory, Samsung Galaxy S4 uses TouchWiz Nature UX interface along with the latest Android 4.2.2 OS of Google. This interface has high customizability and fresh, youthful colors compared to the interface that is somewhat boring from iPhone 5. Both devices have smoothness and fast response speed. About battery life, iPhone 5 can browse web via Wi-Fi connection more than 9 hours; hopefully, Galaxy S4 will meet the expectation about the battery from the user well.

Conclusion

Indeed, the 2 Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5 phone reach the “dictatorial” level in both hardware parameters and supporting software quality. However, the design of Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5 still has some small mistakes. Choosing which one for themselves will depends much on whether you like a smartphone with a big screen Galaxy S4 or a device with the enough-to-use screen which is iPhone 5.
