Price and availability
Nexus 4 have 2 versions: 8GB version with
the price of 299 USD and 16GB with $349. We don’t attempt to speak like Crazy
Eddie when talking about this, but it’s hard to argue. This is an unbelievable
price for a new quad-core HD devices, especially when the cheapest phone on the
market with the same technical specs will be Huawei Ascend D1 Quad XL with the
price of 450 USD (it’s not even available in most of important market). It is
sold in America, England, Canada, German, France, Spain and Australia, but
because it has 5 bands, you can easily insert the micro-SIM card from any GSM carriers
on the world and roam arbitrarily. The Nexus fans in America will have an
alternative: buy the 16GB model with the price of 199 USD on T-Mobile with
2-year contract. (It’s also provided with the same price as on Value Plan pack
of the firm). We find it hard to put forward this special route – you save 150
USD ahead, but bounden into a 2-year pack and may have to pay extra money
monthly. There’s no difference between the 2: no brand, no floating software
or the special apps. The Wi-Fi calling ability is not supported, and both
versions are confirmed to be included with DC-HSPA+ 42Mbps.

Conclusion
The idea of a quad-core Nexus smartphone
which is released at the starting price of 299 USD shocks us. It’s even available
without following the contract or being bounded with any carrier, which means
that you can use it anywhere in the world. Another surprising thing is that in
fact this special phone will always be on the top positions (if not mention the
first) that have the newest Android version in the near future. What used to be
a smartphone lineup that is designed for the developers is now equipped with
the high-class features and has price that is so attracting that users will
have to pay attention to them; no phone can come close to it at that price
segment. This is a smartphone that we normally expect to be more expensive if
unlocked, but Google has set a precedent by reducing the price of Galaxy Nexus,
holding Nexus 7 at 200 USD and it’s continuing this trend with Nexus 4. The
price of freedom has never been more reasonable. Of course Nexus 4 is not
flawless, but none of its predecessors is perfect. Depending on the real-life
performance increments, better camera and many different new features, it’s
even more compelling than the prior devices which it is attempting to replace.
In this case…you don’t even need to resist.
