In many ways, the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO
12.2 (SM- P900) bears a striking resemblance to the Note 3 and the Note 10.1
2014 Edition. Similar to the two devices, the new tablet is bordered with a
grooved metallic frame and has a faux leather back cover with faux stitching.

Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 Review
As its moniker suggests, the NotePRO 12.2
sports a 12.2-inch touchscreen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution. With such a huge
display, the tablet is intentionally meant for handling productivity- related
tasks, being capable of handling up to four application windows at the same
time. It certainly exceeds the Note 10.1, which is limited to handling up to
two applications simultaneously.
As the NotePRO 12.2 comes with the
fine-tuned S Pen, the tablet also features Air Command, which allows users to maximize
the usage of Samsung's bundled stylus. This means that users will enjoy Air
Command's sub-features on a much larger screen.
Samsung further enhances users’ working
experience with the NotePRO 12.2 by throwing in a variety of office
applications. The key ones are Remote PC for transferring data remotely,
e-Meeting for collaborating and sharing content, and Cisco WebEx for video
conferencing and screen sharing. The NotePRO 12.2 also features Magazine UX, a
Flipboard-powered dashboard that aggregates apps, news, and social feeds. An
adequate replacement for Microsoft’s office productivity suite, Hancom can be
downloaded for free from Samsung’s App Store.

In terms of imaging, the NotePRO 12.2 can
capture photos that are sharp and have vibrant colors, provided that lighting
conditions are favorable. The Full HD videos that we took with the tablet also
manifested sharp details and punchy colors with excellent audio quality.
The NotePRO 12.2 unit that we got was the
Wi-Fi-only variant. Internally, this tablet is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 5
Octa processor; the LTE version of the tablet uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800.
In any case, both CPUs are nearly identical in terms of processing power, as
our NotePRO 12.2 yielded 34110, 16941, and 13532 in AnTuTu Benchmark, Quadrant
Standard, and 3DMark, respectively. These scores are generally close to the
scores of the Galaxy Note 3, LG G2, and Xperia Z Ultra, which are all powered
by a Snapdragon 800 chip. In terms of stamina, the NotePRO 12.2 delivered up to
660 minutes (11 hours) of battery life, despite having a huge display.
The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 is as
pricey as the Galaxy Note 3, retailing for USD 832.62.
