We call Xperia go “three-resistance” because
it is water-resistant, dust-resistant and scratch-resistant (display).
It is small and light; the cover is made of
plastic; the front side is 2-layer screen identical to Xperia sola so it looks
modern and youthful. Connection ports have plastic lids so they can prevent
dust and water from penetration. The inner sides of these lids are covered in
blue and it looks contrastive to the white, which looks very nice and creates
high aesthetic.

The screen size is 3.5 inches (identical to
iPhone so the body is small. The back side is simple but looks nice because it
is a block of plastic, not many pieces join together. This is the lumpy plastic
like Poly Carbonate. And if it’s true, the capability of scratch-resistant will
be great. Sony said that they equipped Xperia with a technology called “Wet
Finger Tracking”, enabling users to act on screen even when in water. I tried
putting it under a water tap directly, and realized that I hardly acted on
screen. When water stopped running, the screen was still wet then I could do
some tasks on screen, and it was quite precise. The device seemed to work well
after being out under a water tap and even being soaked in a glass full of
water.

A pity point for the device is that the
resolution is only 320x480, quite low, so the display quality is not high and
the images are broken a lot. Currently, it is running smoothly on Android 2.3
at high processing speed, and it may reach 4.0 in near future.
