Nikon J2 is
a small upgrade with metal case, extra capture modes and color options for a
cheaper price (by $100).
Sturdier metal case
While Nikon
1 couldn’t make a fever in the market of mirror-less camera, the brand
continued introducing J2, the upgrade of J1 within less than one year. The new
model is just a small upgrade in design as well as main specs are retained.
Most
considerable changes of J2 is 3inch having higher definition, 910,000 pixels
(twice as much as J1’s resolution), new Creative Mode (such as Panorama, sepia
effect…) as well as quick access to manually adjusted apps including P,S,A and
M.
J2’s display resolution is twice as much as
that of J1.
It’s
noticeable that the case is made of sturdier alloy in many color options:
white, black, silver, pink, red and orange while previous model had only 3
colors.
Nikon J2 is
also more budget than J1 by $100. Full kit including tripod and 10-30mm lens
will be sold in September for RRP of $549.
J2 has 6 color options.
J2’s specs
bear not much difference to J1’s one. In detail, there are 10.1MP CMOS sensor
(1inch size), Expeed 3 image processor. J2 can record
Full HD video at 60fps or 30fps and HD at 60fps.
