Vivo Book has simple design, small
size, multipoint touch screen and new features of Windows 8. Consequently, Vivo
Book X202E helps everyone have interesting experience when they interact with
laptop.
X202E’s design is similar to the Vivo Book
models of the same type: S400, S500 and S550. It has simple design, mouse gray
coat and aluminum alloy cover that can help radiate and prevent scratch better.
Besides small size, (30.3x20x2.17 cm), its weight is 14kg; it isn’t too heavy
for people who often move.
Laptop’s sound was improved better with high
quality 2.0 loudspeaker and Sonic Master sound technology. Although X202E is
biased medium and high range, similarly to other laptop models, X202E’s sound
is rather good. Its sound is pure and has more details.
Laptop
has 11.6-inch multipoint touch screen with 1,366x768 pixel resolution.
People designed radiating system again so
that users will feel comfortable to use it. Air is absorbed through keyboard’s
surface. In the below face, there are ventilating slots to cool inside
components of hardware and hot air jet is pushed out in the back.

because limitation about size and improving ability is restricted.
Specifically, users can only improve hard disk drive (HDD) in RAM (capacity
4GB) that is integrated on main circuit.
People equipped laptop with 11.6-inch multipoint
touch screen with 1,366x768 pixel resolution, standard HD 720p webcam, card
reader “3 in 1” that can help connect and share data from other equipment more
convenient.
X202E has VGA and HDMI standard picture
signal output, it also supports about gates and usual communication such as USB
2.0, USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0 wireless connection, Wi-Fi 802.11n and RJ-45
network gate with speed 10Mb/second.
Although
X202E isn’t equipped with optical drive, it also supports gates and usual communication
at present.
Screen, keyboard and touchpad
It is similar to Aspire S7. Touch screen’s
sensitivity of Vivo Book X202E is evaluated highly. It combines with Modern UI
configuration of Windows 8 and it helps you have interesting experience to
interact with it. With 2 classic games “Angry
Birds and Plants
vs Zombies”, smooth feeling helps us manipulate on touch screen
lightly. In addition, game manipulation is faster and more flexible than using
mouse because it has low friction.
Chiclet keyboard is designed in seamless
block. It has soft pressing button with short moving distance. Although its
pressing button doesn’t have good sensitivity, it is enough to surf on keyboard
to type text quickly.

Touchpad supports multipoint induction. It
integrates with 2 buttons of mouse (left, right). Pressing button is light and
easy to use.
Space on keyboard is rather airy. It only
has one power button because functional keys such as turning on/off Wi-Fi
connection, controlling screen’s brightness, transferring operating status,
multimedia controlling function. Are integrated in group of Fn key.
Test’s result, efficiency
It was tested with configuration’s hardware
including Intel Core i3-3,217U processor (1.8 GHz, 3 MB smart cache), HD
Graphics 3000 integrated graphic, 4GB RAM DDR3 bus 1,333 MHz and 500 GB HDD,
SATA 3 Gb/second.
X202E
is an attractive choice.
The following testing result shows that the
general performance of laptop is only medium rate. However, when we consider
some elements such as price (about $571), touch screen, Windows 8 operating system
and 32GB web storage that are free in 3 years, X202E is an attractive choice.
It is possible with pupils, students and office workers.
Details of experiment
Through tool that is used to evaluate the
whole efficiency of system, experiment configuration gains 2,030 grades PC Mark
7. It is rather higher than Asus X401A in each experiment.
Through ATTO experiment, grade component of
hard disk drive (HDD) shows that area system has fast speed of accessing data,
recording speed is 103MB/second, reading speed is 104.4MB/second. It is similar
to PC Mark 05, speed of operating application is 5.0MB/second, speed of
sweeping virus gains 104.1MB/second or starting process of Windows XP is 6.4MB/second.
We use Cine bench R11.5 tool to evaluate
Intel Core i3-3,217U processor and HD Graphics 4000 integrated graphic (OpenGL
graphic library). Experiment’s configuration is 1.8 grades to CPU test and 7.81
picture frames/second to OpenGL test.
Performance of processing graphic
It is similar to mobile Ivy Bridge that has
the same type - Core i5-3317U (medium) and Core i7-3517U (high-ranking), Core
i3-3217U is also integrated with HD Graphics 4000 graphic processing core.
However, through real experiment, Core i3-3217U’s ability of processing graphic
is remarkably lower than Core i5-3317U and Core i7-3517U.
For example, i3-3217U gained 280 grades through
Graphic test of 3DMark 1.1 while Core i5-3317U gained 511 grades (higher than
82.5%) and Core i7-3517U gained 557grades – it is double.
With Street
Fighter IV game, testing configuration gained 6,853 grades and 23.3
picture frames/second at WXGA resolution (1,366x768 pixel) and default graphic
establishment. This thing is different from some previous considerations. For
instance, strength of HD Graphics 4000 graphic processing core
could gain 30 picture frames/second (fps) to some normal games at 1,024x768
pixel resolution and quality of graphic is at low rate.
Battery duration
We used Mobile Mark 2007 tool to check the
time of using battery in reality and X202E gained 4 hours 47 minutes to
Productivity test. This result also explains why Asus doesn’t arrange X202E to
group of ultrabook like some models Vivo Book S400, S500 and S550.
Radiating ability
Besides above performance review, we also
see that the laptop can radiate in environment with medium temperature about 260C.
In general, radiating system operates smoothly with office, game, entertaining applications
and 3DMark 11 graphic processing task although the highest temperature of
integrated graphic is 990C and processor gains 890C.
