Panasonic Super Zoom Cameras: FZ60 And LZ20

Along with the launch of Lumix G5, LX7, 45-150mm lens, Panasonic introduced a series of other shooting cameras, including the FZ200, SZ5 and two medium-range FZ60 super-zoom models, LZ20.

The FZ60 has 24x optical zoom (focal length for 35mm film format is 25-600mm), CMOS sensor, this is a midrange bridge product. It does not own lens with F2.8 at all zoom range as well as high-resolution screen as FZ200, it still can capture at 10fps and record 1080i Full-HD video. The company promises the camera can take 450 pictures with one charge, 12% higher than its predecessor FZ45, thanks to the new generation of image processor. Nano Surface Coating is also present on FZ60 to help reduce glare and ghost effects.

About LZ20, it has 21X optical zoom with converted focal length is 25-525mm. It does not use CMOS sensor as FZ60, it uses CCD with video recording capability at highest resolution of 720p@30fps. Resolution of it rear screen is 460,000 pixels and LZ20 is in the cheap ultra-zoom segment. It has integrated iAuto mode to automatically identify the scene and provide the most optimal configuration, support to simplify the capture of ordinary users. Similar to the product launched this time, Panasonic has not announced the price and selling date of FZ60 and LZ20.

Lens: LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT F2.8 - F5.2

Components: 14, assembled into 10 groups, including three low scattering lens, two aspherical lenses, it has 3 asphericals in total.

It has optical image stabilization

Optical Zoom: 24x

Digital Zoom: 48x with Intelligent Zoom feature, Intelligent Resolution technology will keep best image quality as possible when used with Intelligent Zoom

Focal length is equivalent to 35mm camera: 25-600mm

Display: 3” 460,000 pixel resolution

Continuous shooting at high resolution: 10fps (not continuous auto-focus), 5fps (with continuous auto-focus)

Boot Speed: 0.9 seconds

Recording FullHD 1080@60i
