Everything becomes simpler with the option of
Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro for PC. Both provide classic and Modern screen,
plus different features.
Windows
8
Windows 8 is the successor of Windows 7
Home Premium and it lacks Windows Media Player. Fortunately, Modern apps work
very well.

You can connect with other PC by Remote
Desktop (but you can perform distant connection with a Windows 8 system) and
Storage Space allows you to combine disk drives into one “Storage Pool”,
functioning like Raid for a better file protection. There’re available
installers for ISO and VHD image. This means that you cannot insert them like
doing with virtual images.
Windows 8 offers language switching for not
only keyboard but also Windows interface.
Windows
8 Pro
Windows 8 Pro aims at business users and
passionate ones. It is the inheritor of Windows 7 Professional/Ultimate. It has
all features that can be found in standard Windows, plus some additional
features.

With Pro, you gain remote connection from
another PC, join a domain and encrypt contents with BitLocker and prevent
someone from remove disk drive and enter its content via other PCs.
Strangely, Windows Media Player is a custom
add-on for Windows 8 Pro. RRP is still unknown.
Windows 8’s price
If you buy PC, laptop or tablet that run
Windows 8, the operating system’s price is included in the device’s price. Upgrade’s
price is mainly important and Microsoft followed Apple’s footstep in reducing
Windows 8’s considerably lower than Windows 7’s one.
As long as you PC is running Windows XP,
Windows Vista or Windows 7, you can upgrade the OS up to Windows 8 for only
$500. However, this state won’t be long and everything implies an increase in
price in Jan 2013.
Windows 8 Pro’s in the UK is still unknown.
Windows
8 and RT: Our expert’s verdict
Windows
8 and RT: Our expert’s verdict
Use Windows 8 in a few minutes then you
will hate it. It takes much time to get along with Modern UI and the way
everything rolls leftward/rightward, instead of upward/downward.
It’s easy to realize that Windows 8 apps
are also ways to advertise because some apps lack features. However, we are
sure that things would change when kernel apps are developed and third-party
apps from famous brand start appearing.
It’s arguable that whether Modern UI is
useful or necessary for PC and laptop. You can spend day not seeing it as
Windows 8 brings you back to your last used app before getting PC into Sleep
mode. If you are running apps on wallpaper, this is what you will see after typing
password onto Lock screen.
Once new Start screen is used, Live Tiles can
be crowded when they show you info. Some are useless – there’s no benefit from seeing
face in random contact appearing on People Tile.
It’s hard to get accustomed to working on a
wallpaper having no Start menu but Universal search menu is a great tool to
perform quick search for apps, files, setting and even webs.
Windows 8 is considerably faster than
Windows 7 yet its hardware requirement is less – it runs well on old PCs. It
not only starts up and shuts down faster but also copies and loads webs faster.
Hardware is accelerated thus text processing becomes much simple.
It is also safer. You may install another
security suit if preferring but Windows 8 offers quite good protection at first
sight.
Because it is more effective, you will work
longer on laptop between each recharge.
It is the first operating system in which Windows
has integrated with daily used online services thus you desired info will
easily available without requiring you to open browser then go to the website. Regardless
you want to see what people are doing, send someone a message or check new
feeds, everything is already available.
Microsoft needs to make Windows Store attentive
in as more device as possible to persuade developers to write apps. Though,
Modern UI, somehow, makes user feel this way.
We haven’t touch Surface yet but it’s a
fact that it includes Office and keyboard. Those are able to make Surface more
attractive than iPad. Running both apps concurrently appears useful.
You really need a touchscreen to take full
advantage of Windows 8 but with appropriate hardware configuration, using
keyboard with (touch) mouse is fast and interesting, too.
You should bear that Windows 8 is a brand-new
OS. It may run your old Windows programs. Though, with reference to Modern UI
and Windows RT tablets, this is just the beginning.
A unit of UI, performance, security and new
features, for only $500, Windows 8 is a must-have one.
