No Firefox browser for iOS!
If you are an iOS device user, you should
know that Mozilla has refused to offer a dedicated Firefox browser app for iOS.
Mozilla has had enough of Apple’s attitude towards third party applications and
decided to never offer Firefox browser for iOS, ever!
According to reports, Mozilla has confirmed
that its popular Firefox browser will not be available on Apple’s iOS.
No
Firefox browser for iOS!
The company, which is also eyeing the
competitive mobile segment with its Firefox OS along with its browser, had
decided to remove the Mozilla Firefox Home from Apple’s App Store last year.
And the company is not currently building a version of the Firefox browser for
iOS, nor does it plan to do so in the future, Jay Sullivan, vice president,
Mozilla was quoted as saying in the report.
Sullivan argued that Apple’s closed
environment has resulted in users suffering from its stringent policies. The
bigger concern for Mozilla is that Apple’s policies do not allow Firefox’s
sophisticated rendering and Javascript engines to be carried over to iOS.
“Mozilla doesn't think that it can build the browser that it wants to, for
Apple’s platform”, Sullivan added.
It should be noted that Apple does not
allow its iPhone and iPad users to choose any other browser but Safari as the
default browser, which makes the whole point of offering Firefox quite
redundant.

Now buy e-books on Google Play in India
If you are hooked onto e-books, then the
options are expanding. Google is now offering e-books on its Play Store, in
India. The service is pretty similar to what Amazon offers and what Flipkart
started recently with its Flyte e-book service.
“Just under one year ago, we introduced
Google Play, a digital entertainment hub where you can find, enjoy and share
your favorite apps and games on your Android phone or tablet. Today we’re
adding books to Google Play for people in India. Books on Google Play now offer
thousands of Indian titles, from new releases to classics. It’s easy to find
great Indian authors such as Amish Tripathi, Devdutt Pattanaik and APJ Abdul
Kalam, plus international bestsellers from the world’s largest ebookstore”,
Google India noted in a blog post.
Buying an e-book from Google Play is
similar to how one buys an app. Users can pay via a credit card, which is
already registered with Google Play. Google has also stated that an e-book
which has been bought can be read on any device that supports Google e-book.

unified Web platform that organizations can standardize on to build Web-based
services, for both internal and customer-focused sites, Buytaert was quoted as
saying in the report. Buytaert sees Drupal being implemented to use the same
core platform and build multiple sites with different purposes. He cited the
example of multinational pharmaceutical company Pfizer, which has standardized
