How to Send Mail with Multiple Attachments from iSO

The iPad is a great tool for getting work done on the go as well as for communicating with friends and family. It boasts a simple and elegant interface that's a breeze to set up and use. Despite this, the iPad lacks features associated with its Mac counterpart. E-Mail is one of those features, and trying to tackle tasks through iPad's e-mail app can be a hassle, especially if you're not familiar with all the ins-and-outs of productivity apps. There are third party e-mail apps on the App Store that can ease the process of transitioning to the mobile device for work purposes.

How to Send Mail with Multiple Attachments from iSO

One of these third party apps is called Mailer. A free version is also available called Mailer Light that attaches a disclaimer advertising the product on the bottom of each e-mail you send. What makes Mailer stand out from other e-mail apps on the App Store and Apple's native e-mail app is the amount of customization and options it offers. You can, for example, send e-mails through templates that are elegantly designed. You can also separately set up a body, attachments and a subject for different clients you will be e-mailing. You can also use it to copy and paste info between different e-mail accounts without having to open and close your messages. What makes Mailer special, however, is the way it handles attachments.

Sending multiple e-mail attachments

To send multiple e-mail attachments from your Mailer account, follow these steps:

1.    First off, click on Mail attachments from the home menu of the app. In this screen, you will have the option of importing any attachment you have available from different apps or file folders located on your device. You can also import files into the app by e-mailing them to yourself and licking "Open In" while directing the files to the Mailer app.

2.    Now that the correct attachments have been imported, you will need to set up other functions within the Mailer app before creating an e-mail message and choosing your recipients. Set up your template next so that you can send your message later to other recipients with the same attachments attached. Click on "Mail Templates" to start this process.

3.    Next click on "Properties" to choose your message's subject line that will be read by the recipient before he or she opens your e-mail and sees the attachments. Template name will remind you what your entire message, or template, is called for future e-mails. This is where all your data and text will be saved for future use. Mail subject is the section you will use to enter the text that will be showing on the e-mail's us next line.

4.    Next click on the "Account" tab from the template set-up screen so you can select the right account to send your e-mail from. You can have multiple SMTP e-mail accounts attached to the app if you use multiple e-mails to send messages from. Many users, for instance, have separate work and personal e-mail accounts. Click on the account you want to send your message from and make sure there is a check mark next to it. You can also click on standard to use your default address and confirm every time.

5.    Now you will need to set up your e-mail messages style and design. Click on the "Style Sheet" selection from the main template menu and you will be prompted with various options. The top part of the display will be showing you type font options while the bottom will be showing you a customized CSS you can choose. These CSS styles offer different background colors and text colors, and make the e-mail messages stand out.

6.    After choosing your e-mail's style and aesthetics, return to the main template menu. You will now be able to fill out your e-mail. Click on "Body" to enter text into the main body of your e-mail message. Your writing will be done in this selection box, and you should use paragraphs as if you we're typing an e-mail directly from Apple's "Mail" app.

7.    After you are done typing your e-mail message to your recipient(s), go back to the main template menu and click on "Attachments." this is the menu you will be using to choose which exact attachments you want to use in your message. You have to choose an attachment that has already been imported into the app, and you're given the flexibility to choose as many as you wish to send in a single e-mail message. Click on the plus, or cross, icon on the lower left section of the screen to choose the attachments you want to use.

8.    Now that you are done filling out your message in chunks or sub-sections, you will need to choose which recipient(s) you want the e-mail message sent to. You can either select your recipients from the "Distribution List" section toward the bottom of your template menu, or send an individualized message by clicking on the "ascend Quickly" icon. This icon is located toward the lower-left side of the menu.

From the send quickly tab, you can choose either to send your message to a single contact (from your iPad contacts) or unknown, and as many as you like, recipients. You can also add contacts or recipients, through the CC section of your message after choosing either option; so don't feel tied to choosing a single contact or multiple from this menu alone. I recommend clicking on the "Create mail without recipient" prompt from the send quickly menu. This will allow you to preview your entire message and modify it the way you see fit. Add other mail recipients to whom you want the message sent through the CC section off your message.

Some Device users aren't familiar with the various methods of using their devices to their full potential, nor are they familiar with the wide range of apps available on the App Store. You are now part of a small and elite club of Pad e-mail users who can do things with their tablet that desktop users are accustomed to.

What makes using the Mailer app great is how you can set up your e-mail messages in chunks. You can also do this via a template. By clicking on properties and choosing a catchy subject; later choosing what attachments to add to the message; and finally typing out the message to send in the e-mails body; you can make it much more personalized and thought out. This also eliminates the worry of losing old e-mail attachments or text you may want to re-use, like for job inquiries or cover letters.
