Awe technical services division
At the backend of last year, we established
a Technical Services division to provide our trade dealer base with
specification, site survey, delivery and installation support for all
ultra-large screen TV projects. Already proving successful, we have delivered
and installed 85-inch and 103-inch Panasonic screens at multiple properties,
including in a basement area in a residential property in Central London, major
retail stores in Reading, London and Manchester, and also at the British Grand
Prix for the British Racing Drivers Club.
As the choice of screen sizes continues to
increase, ultra-large TVs are becoming more affordable and increasingly popular
to the consumer. However, a 75-inch screen is the largest that can
realistically be put through a normal delivery network and installation
process, with larger panels generally requiring specialist expertise and
handling. We have invested in a custom built to-loader vehicle and associated
equipment to get screens safety to and from the site, and have also brought on
board a team who have the ability to handle both site surveys and the
installation.

Kotekuh launch
AWE has launched Kotekuh (pronounced;
ko-te-ooh), a brand new marketing initiative that features a digital consumer
magazine that focuses on home and lifestyle technology. Designed to generate
new leads for installers, Kotekuh will communicate what can be achieved by
integrating technology into their property.
Kotekuh, which is Janpanese for New
Technology, includes a quarterly digital magazine that features the latest home
technology news, and illustrates how products can integrate seamlessly into a
property.
Readers will be taken inside some of the
hottest homes on the market and will be able to find out project details from
the people responsible for the amazing installations. The magazine will also
feature complimentary products that can be used every day, be it at home, at
work or on the move. All of this information will highlight how technology can
enhance your lifestyle.
Alongside the magazine, AWE has established
the Kotekuh Concierge, a service that provides readers with more information on
feature products and installations. The reader can call or email the concierge
who will record the enquiry and then pass it onto appropriate AWE approved
“Kotekuh dealer”.

Panasonic smart TVs
2012 was definitely the year to launch
Smart TVs and now as we progress into a time when they are a fixed feature on
project specifications, Panasonic illustrates that its range is amongst the
best in the industry.
The WT50 and DT50 Series are Panasonic’s
first big screen LED LCD TVs and incorporate latest Smart Viera functionality
to provide an enhanced combination of online services, green features and
picture processing functionality. Panasonic has extended this functionality
further by introducing its Remote App Pro which allows viewers to interact with
the TV by moving content between the screen and an iOS or Android based tablet
