Benq packs decent technology in a pocket friendly price

BenQ packs the latest screen technology into a pocket-friendly 21.5in monitor!

BenQ's new 21.5in might look similar to other monitors available in the market, but it has many notable features. First, it retails at less than Rs 8,200 on the web. Secondly, its full HDVA panel with 1920x1080 resolution is a beauty as it provides a great response time. So if gaming or movies is a part of your everyday life, then this is the monitor for you.

Given the low price, we weren't surprised by the sacrifice of the HDMI or USB ports. The monitor is capable of tilting between minus 5 to plus 15 degrees, lesser than other expensive displays. With a height of 400mm, the GW2250 sits low on your desk and maintains the standard 10 degree below height rule with a standard office chair.

Surprisingly, it also lacks USB ports and an in-built speaker. Though the lack of USB ports can be ignored, those who don't want to spend extra on speakers will definitely miss the in built speakers.

In terms of image quality, the GW2250 proves to be one of the best in the price range, with out of the box display, crisp whites, punchy colors and sharp texts.

Movies and games looked superb and were sharper with the 1920x1080 resolution with no hint of smudging. The photo quality was impressive as well. The downside? The reflective bezel which can be a bit distracting if you have light sources behind you.

Overall, it's a good value monitor and deserve a recommendation in the budget display category.

Build quality is pretty good throughout. The plastics used seem solid, and despite feeling a little hollow, there’s practically no unwanted creak or flex in the GW2250HM’s chassis.
