The box of these headphones itself weighs
at least a KG, this is what took us aback but then it is Harman Kardon
packaging, you would expect they would impress from the very start. The product
is made only for iPod, iPhone and iPad, this may disappoint few souls.

First Impressions
These headphones have some serious weight,
this is due to the metal headbands. Just like the packaging, the headphones are
quite fancy looking. We attached the 3.5mm jack to an iPhone and there was
pure bliss. The true bass experience is quite satisfying. The way these
headphones are designed, the closed back offers great noise reduction. The
rectangular design of the ear pieces fit perfectly too. One setback was the
detachable metal bows, even while simply adjusting the headphone they land up
in the palm of your hands. This was quite irritating.

On performance grounds, and purely on
performance these headphones are quite superior. The headphones are equipped
with a unique baffle that creates air flow that extends low frequencies. As a
result, CL headphones provide better bass. The novelty element to these
headphones are the exchangeable metal bows that could have been avoided. The
idea of using metal for the body was quite good but they could have possibly
tried reducing the weight of the product. They are very comfortable on one's
ears but one cannot put up with it for long hours. The steel hinges connectors
scare you at times as you feel they may snap the main wires.
We experienced no trouble using the microphone.
It works perfectly the way it should be. The sound and voice reception on both
ends was crystal clear.

Verdict
For the price at which they are offered,
just under '10,000 it is quite steep with several substitutes being available
for less. Yes, they do offer fantastic performance but these headphones are
meant only for those who would not use it roughly.
