First impressions
Most of you who see the product will agree
with us that it looks like a mouse. When we first received it, we were quite
astonished with its size. Having reviewed several other portable Bluetooth
audio devices, all of them had a very different built then this one. We sure
were looking forward to see what Portronics had to offer in this highly
competitive product line. The device is packed in a simple box which is not too
fancy and comes along with a USB cable, an Auxiliary cord, a carry sling and a
storage bag.

Review
Only on appearance grounds it may appear
like a fragile product, but when you actually start using it you realize that
it is quite rough and tough. The speakers are located underneath and this does
hamper the performance of these speakers. The upper panel from which you
control the device is touch operational and thus you must use the lock key at
all times. The different modes like PC, Bluetooth, Micro SD and Auxiliary work
effortlessly.

In terms of sound quality, the performance
of the Portronics Pebble is neither average nor exceptional. It is just about
right. The sound quality is quite good and with a maximum volume of 40 we
could conveniently play music from one floor of the office and hear it on the
other. The device has no bass, thus affecting music quality.
The irritating part of the device is the
touch controls. We had to struggle a lot when it came to changing songs,
volume, switching modes and so on. Not only would you have to tap it several
times, it also freezes leaving you helpless. The calling feature works just
fine over Bluetooth.

Overall, it is a product that works satisfactorily.
Yes, it can offer good performance but also is capable of playing hours of
music non - stop. It does lack on the sound quality and functionality front,
but at the price at which it is offered it is surely a great product. If you
don't have a 5,000 and above budget and you wish to purchase a portable audio
device, Portronics Pebble hands down is a great option.
Overall,
it is a product that works satisfactorily.
