Despite the gaming implication shown in its fierce name, this impressive PC loses some marks when it comes to graphics.

Wired2Fire Diablo Ultima

The Wired2Fire Diablo Ultima has many components that you can expect from a modern performance PC, with an overclocked Core i5-3570K processor and a high-quality case. The AOC i2352Vh monitor is also one of our favorite, with 23.6-inch matte-finish IPS screen and outstanding image quality.

The i5-3570K processor has been overclocked to an impressive 4.6GHz, which boosted it sufficiently to achieve the overall score of 146 in our tests. This means you can run smoothly any application that you want to, even when your request is heavy multi-tasking or virtualization.

The 1GB PNY Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 graphics card is not powerful, but quite competitive. In Crysis 2 at 1920x1080 and Ultra quality, we saw a frame rate of 16fps, which was not smooth at all, but when we reduced the quality settings to Very High, we noticed a far smoother average frame rate of 27fps. This graphics card has two DVI ports and one Mini HDMI port for up to three screens.

The Asus P8Z77-V LX motherboard is a popular one. It has three vacant PCI slots, two PCI-E x16 slots, one of which is empty but runs at x4, and two PCI-E x1 slots, one of which is blocked by the graphics card. Two of these four memory slots are installed with 4GB modules which run at 1600MHz. 8GB RAM is pretty much for current applications, but the other two are easily accessible and the motherboard can use up to 32GB of memory.

There are six SATA ports in sum, two of which are SATA3. Both are in use, but there are still some vacant SATA2 ports if you need to add additional storage. Currently, the Diablo Ultima has a 120GB SSD system drive to have a fast boot speed and a 1TB hard disc for storage, as well as a Blu-ray reader. There is plenty of space for many hard discs, memory card readers or optical drives if you ever want them, with four empty 3½-inch internal bays, one empty 3½-inch external bay and three unused 5¼-inch drive bays.

The case itself is sturdy and well proofed against dust. The system runs quite quietly thanks to the selection of good components, though the side panel with holes can’t block all the noise. There are two USB ports on the front, with a microphone port and a usual 3.5mm headphone port. At the back of the motherboard, there are two USB3 ports, four USB ports, one PS/2 port, Gigabit Ethernet, one optical S/PDIF output for digital audio and 5.1 analog surround sound.

The unbranded keyboard is made of hard plastic and has ratty keys, but they are quite easy to type on. The Logitech mouse is a cheap one but it’s comfortable to use.

Wired2Fire Diablo Ultima

This is an excellent PC and got very close to achieving our best buy award. Its graphics card is not as powerful as that of its other opponents at the same price, for instance, Chillblast Fusion Blaze, but if the fast boot speed and an outstanding monitor are preferred to gaming power, the Diablo Ultima may be an absolutely appropriate PC for you.
