system of Microsoft. This model has feature about camera and good sound. It
inherits from some successful Android models of HTC.

Windows Phone X8
When HTC introduced Windows Phone 8X, many
people considered that it was the copy model of Nokia Lumia 800 and 900. However,
if users see and hold it, they will recognize that 8X is an authentic
smartphone of HTC. It is difficult to confuse it with Lumia of Finland’s mobile
firm.
8X is also designed with a monolithic form
with cover made of Polycarbonate. Its screen and components are casted and
attached to the inside part of cover without using any screw. When many people
hold it, they will have the first feeling that it is thin and light. It is
completely different from 2 models of Nokia: Lumia 800 and 900. In reality, 8X
is thin with the size of 10.1mm and it is rather thinner than One X (8.9mm).
Although
8X and Lumia 800, Lumia 900 of Nokia are designed with the monolithic form and
use polycarbonate, 8X is completely thinner than 2 others.
We have the feeling that this phone is
thinner because it is tacked deeply to 4 sides on back surface. With the weight
130grams, 8X fits hand and it is not as heavy as Lumia 900. It has similar
screen to Nokia’s screen. However, if you hold and use it too much, you will
recognize that tacking deeply and thinly makes us have difficulty in holding 8X
in your hand. Hence, it is smooth and easily slipped out of your hand.
The real 8X is more beautiful than it is in
picture. Phone’s cover has soft paintwork to prevent muddying. But you must pay
attention that it easily rubs off if it is collided strongly. Holes of
loudspeaker and back side are tiny holes. They have highly improved quality
when their size is small but they are very straight. Loudspeaker of the front
side has 71 holes and they are divided into 2 equal lines. However, this
loudspeaker also makes 8X lose their beauty and makes it not possible with the
front side’s general design (with the purple, red models and except for black
model)

Touched keys lie under screen. Key that is
used to increase or decrease sound lie on the sight and source key is put on
cellphone’s top. All of them are designed well, easy to touch and to control in
all of the using operations. It is good for specialized camera key to be put on
the right. It operates well and usefully with photographing function of Windows
Phone 8.
8X’s back side is very simple. It has less
highlight. People put camera in phone cover deeply and it doesn’t resurface
like One X and it is circled by a thin metal border. Logo Beats Audio,
speakerphone with small dots and some information about phone are put below.
Logo HTC is put in the center position but it has the dark gray, not bright
white.

Similarly to One X, HTC uses LCD screen with
S-LCD 2 technology on the new high-class Windows Phone model. Although its size
is 4.3 inches, HP resolution is 720p, and density of picture point on 8X’s
screen is over 340ppi.

8X is one of 2 Windows Phones (together
with Lumia 920) having the most smooth and beautiful display screen at present.
It is better than models of previous generation including Lumia 900 which is
Nokia’s good model. People eliminated pock-marked phenomenon, shortage of
feature from Live Tiles interface IE browser. Instead of this thing, they made
it more smooth and beautiful.
Because it has simple interface and uses
monochromatic colors, 8X can display outside well. Automatic light sensor and
S-LCD2 screen helps picture be displayed deeply. Pictures don’t lose details
and have large view. 8X can respond to the normal demands such as surfing
website or watching film well.
Especially, 8X’s touch screen is sensitive
with light manipulations of touching and stroking; however, it is not supported
with the ability of controlling “magic” by gloves, knife or plate like its
competitor: Lumia 920 of Nokia.
Features and Windows Phone 8 operating system
Windows Phone 8 (WP8) of HTC 8X is
different from Windows Phone 7.5 about not only main screen interface but also
many inside features and it is also different from the previous ones such as
HTC HD7, Surround or Radar…
Firstly, about interface, 8X’s main screen
is a bigger tile that supports with 28 different colors (more than WP7.5), but
it only uses black or white background. Each of the tiles of WP8 can be
fine-tuned with 3 different sizes: long rectangle, square and small square that
is similar to icon on iOS or Android. Hence, arrangement of applications on
main screen is diversified, contains a lot of applications and displays more
information.
Lock screen on WP8 is improved to allow
extracting the content of message and call and calendar to display outside
according to the demand of each person. Lock screen’s wallpaper can display the
content from battery or even pictures or updating information from Facebook
(you must install Facebook application from Market Place).
Windows
Phone 8 has Live Tiles interface on 8X is more flexible and useful.
Besides some points that we easily
recognize from interface, we also see the difference of WP8 on 8X about IE10
browser that can load and set up pages quickly. In addition, it can control
directory due to group in People, change browser in Settings or providing with
Kid’s Corner’s application.
The most pleasant thing is that 8X can use
mode that stores USB to copy music, picture, video easily without overall
manipulation from Zune due to Windows Phone 8. Unfortunately, 8X only has 16GM
inside memory and it doesn’t have any slot to plug extended memory card. 8X
loses its value to people who want to use this feature to enter data or
exchange information.
People equipped 8X with NFC connection, so
the feature of sending and receiving Tap file + Sends on Windows 8 also appears
in this installing section. However, HTC doesn’t provide many especial
applications that are only for WP8 on 8X, so it is different from the way that
Nokia carried out with Lumia. Connection Setup Application (supporting to set
up network), Flashlight, Photo Enhancer and Converter are the old things that
HTC equipped for WP7 and WP7.5. HTC Hub is reduced to HTC and allows displaying
information about day and time in Live Tiles.
However, fortunately, HTC contains the
famous Beats Audio sound technology on Windows Phone 8. When we activate its
feature (supported with headphones), sound that is given out will become
stronger and bass sound is also bigger. However, it remains clear sound and
sound is twisted less and doesn’t have noise like controlling by Equalizer. However,
Beats feature on 8X is fine-tuned less than some modern Android models.
