After a while, listening to my television’s
internal speaker is a bother. This is especially true when playing games.
Despite having a home theatre sound system, noises are still present and there
is no connection with the games I play. That’s why headphones are my savior.
However, most of the time, these headphones are console specific. Then Sharkoon
X-Tatic SP Plus arrives. Hello compatibility!
Design-wise
the Sharkoon X-Tatic SP is a tasty black affair with some subtle chrome and
blue highlights

X-Tatic SP
Fits all
The beauty of X-Tatic SP Plus is it can be
used with pretty much any device that has an audio output. PS3? Xbox 360? PC?
Phone? Tablet? Not a problem. Just refer to the various different cables and
adapters supplied. Truly fantastic for those with multiple systems. In terms of
design, Sharkoon doesn’t want to blow any trumpets and just go on with a
regular headphone look. Thankfully, there is nothing to complain here because
it still looks good and comfortable.
As
a pair of headphones, the Sharkoon Xtatic SP are relatively comfortable

Separate control
When I plug X-Tatic SP Plus to my phone and
PC, the audio quality is pretty decent. That’s all – nothing to boast and
nothing to complain. Its shining star comes when it gets hooked up with
consoles as it opens up the amplifier controls. Background music sound become
somewhat clearer, the tones are bass-ier while audio is crisp and clear. After
a while, I find it hard to use it without those controls. If only Sharkoon made
the controller accessible for all devices...
Many
will prefer an integrated mic to this latter option, but the advantages of
having it separate are that you can use it with anything that has a microphone
input, and that it doesn’t get in the way when you don’t want or need it.
