A classic game recording utility with
easy controls
The biggest gift of our profession?
Reviewing new technologies! And when you get products like the latest gaming
product from AverMedia, Game Capture HD, it only improves our day.
Game Capture HD is simple to install, you
need to connect this product between the console or graphic card and the
display to broadcast or record the entire game. For better results, AverMedia
has included HDCP in the HDMI specification.
This device is capable of recording all
your gaming videos on any internal or external storage device. All you need to
do is press a single remote button while playing and the entire content will be
stored in AVI and MP3 format. The output format will be the same as of your
console or GPU. The device supports 720p/1080i formats too.

We recorded DOTA 2 and NFS Shift 2. For
DOTA 2, we connected the device with our PC while we used a console for NFS
Shift 2. We played both games for nearly an hour and a half to get the latency
rate, which is the biggest concern for these kind of devices. And this is where
AverMedia impressed us the most! Of course, there was a slight noticeable lag
but that was acceptable as it didn't negatively impact the overall experience.
A
solidly built, if rather anonymous, grey box hides a standalone HD capture
device that works with all current gen platforms and has 480p support too for
Wii and PSP.
Game Capture HD is a huge leap forward from
its predecessors from several manufacturers and most hardcore gamers will find
it fantastic and flawless.
