Versatile Bluetooth headset
The Plantronics Marque 2 M165 is a
Bluetooth Headset that's easy to use with both mobile phones as well as
computers. It comes bundled with its own Bluetooth dongle and cable for charging.
The unit is made of good quality plastic
and is available in two colors; black and white. The finish is classy and the
headset is comfortable in use.

The Marque 2 has fewer controls compared to
higher end models from the same manufacturer. There is a sliding power switch
on top and a multi-function button for receiving and ending calls. It is easy
to use and comfortable even when used for long periods, the ear piece has a gel
ear strip which inserts firmly into the ear without hurting the ear canal.

It also has a new feature – DeepSleep –
this puts the headphone in to sleep mode if it remains idle or not in range for
more than 90 minutes. In this mode, the device battery can last up to six
months and 'wake up' again whenever the phone comes in range!
The Marque 2 uses A2DP streaming for
podcasts, music or audiobooks. You can pair this headphone simultaneously with
two devices. It also works with the Plantronics Android app – Vocalyst, for
listening to news, social updates, text to speech for emails and text messages.
Plantronics has also introduced a new app – My HeadSet which helps you find the
headset or displays battery status for phones running on Android ICS or
JellyBean.
The
Marque 2 uses A2DP streaming for podcasts, music or audiobooks.
Available online for $65, Plantronics
offers a year of Vocalyst subscription along with this headset, this we think
is a fair price given its versatility.
