Career highlights
‘Standing on the Ross Ice Shelf, visiting
Scott’s Hut, watching tens of thousands of wildebeest cross the Mara River, witnessing
a mother gazelle fight two jackals to save her fawn, having a young badger cub
fall asleep against my leg in a beautiful beech forest, seeing my first polar
bear as it roamed over the ice in front of a colossal glacier… But still the
most memorable moment is the tigress encounter – to watch such tiny tiger cubs
and to be so enchanted, then so petrified in the space of a heartbeat.’
Photography workshops
‘I also work for a safari operator called
Oryx Worldwide Photographic Expeditions, which I’ve been closely involved with
since the beginning. Our safaris and expeditions are focused purely on the best
wildlife encounters and experiences. My next guided safaris are to the Svalbard
Archipelago in August, Antarctica in December, and Tanzania in February 2013.
In between these dates I will also be organising and guiding clients on bespoke
private tours to East Africa.’
