This is a PDF reader app specializing in
PDFs and Comic Data management, designed for high speed viewing. While there
are other apps offering similar, many don’t do it aesthetically well as they
potentially well as they potentially could. Book+ has a pleasing interface
packed with powerful functionality.
There’s a wide range of zoom magnifications
including Smart Focus that zooms into a specific area by double-tapping and
dragging over the desired area, and Smart Zoom, switching from thumbnail view
to single page view when looking at a multiple page document.
As a snapshot, the app also integrates with
storage services, allows for file and folder management, supports usb
transfers, PDFs are searchable, multiple pages can be displayed with a maximum
of 64 pages viewable at once, bookmarks can be used to target specific sections
on a page with the ability to add comments and there is the now rudimentary
iCloud support.
That’s not all but you get the idea. Book+
is rich with features but it’s not exactly a great support for book files. The
name is a little misleading as Book+ rally is primarily foe reading PDF files
so trying to pull an e-book file from Dropbox may not have the desired results.
As a PDF reader and file manager, this is a
good, well designed, responsive and aesthetically pleasing app. Just don’t be
fooled by the name.
