In addition to introduction of
Lumix G5, Panasonic launched two other shooting camera, they are
Lumix LX7 and FZ200.
Panasonic
announced Lumix LX7
LX7 has 3.8x optical zoom lens with large
aperture, f/1.4 for 24mm focal length and f/2.3 at 90mm, bigger
than the f/2.0-3.3 of LX5. The camera uses only 10.1 megapixel sensor but it
has Lumix Venus Engine FHD G5 VII image processing, promising to
bring high-quality, low noise images. Continuous shooting speed up to 11
frames/sec is also a strong point of LX7. There is an extra aperture
control around the lens to support quicker work while recording.
The company has not informed price and launch date of Lumix LX7 yet.
Panasonic added that LX7 lens has 11
elements, assembled into 10 groups. It has five aspherical lenses (total 9
aspherical surfaces), including an Extra-low Dispersion double-side
aspherical lens. The company said LX7 was its first camera integrated
high-end lens system like that, to restrict distortion and optical phenomena as
well as providing a smooth background for the image. Nano Surface Coating
reduces light reflection in the whole visible range (380nm-780nm wavelength).
LX7's sensor is 1/1,7”, 10.1 megapixel
resolution with a signal/noise ratio of 1.5 dB, better than its predecessor
LX5. Therefore, its image is clear and better at high ISO setting. Photo
colors, change color lever and dynamic contrast range are wider, more beautiful
than shooting in big disparity environment. The new Venus Engine image
processing system and Intelligent NR system (Noise Reduction) help to
optimize the noise reduction for each region of the image. Like G5,
Multi-process NR function also appears on LX7 to reduce noise in many
different steps for good results.
iA mode (Intelligent Auto) and iA +
automatic scene recognition to select optimal configuration
1080p Full-HD video recording, speed of
60fps (AVCHD) or 30fps (MP4)
