Defocus | 1/800 sec | f/3.5 | 4.3 mm | ISO 80
Photos expose well with excellent color
reproduction. Portraits have good skin tone and not red-eye when using flash.
The background defocus mode takes two photos to create a blurred background
with focused objects.

min focus 5 cm, which allows you taking detailed macro photos.

Photos
with different ISO
Noise is low at ISO
80, 100, 200 and 400. At ISO 800, noise makes to lost detail, photos become
softly at ISO 1,600. Photos are very soft at ISO 3,200, but noise increases at
ISO 6,400 and 12,800 significantly. Photos at these two highest settings are
best for photos which are resized to use on web.

Verdict
Sony Cybershot DSC-HX50 is the first pocket
camera with 30x optical zoom. Although being pocket, it is also bulky and heavy
camera. There are other features that make it ideal to be travel camera – built
in Wi-fi and good battery life. You can take photos with full resolution at 10
fps. There is not RAW shooting, although there are manual controls. Image
quality is good, with excellent color reproduction, although noise reduces
image quality from ISO 3,200 up. We please recommend Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5.
