The Kingston Wi-Drive, released last year,
can turn itself into a portable storage cloud which your i-Device can stream
content from. It's not without its shortcomings though, such as an inability to
support Android devices, as well as some limitations to its app.
Kingston had reflected on these flaws and
had released an updated version of the Wi-Drive. While still physically the
same, the new Wi-Drive now supports Android devices, and people using Kindle
Fire will be glad to know that the Wi-Drive supports it, too.

Kingston had also implemented additional
features for iOS users, such as allowing wireless file transfers between the
Wi-Drive hardware and the Wi-Drive app's "Local Area", as well as an
"Open-ln" options when working in documents. You can now attach files
in the Wi-Drive as email attachments, too.

That aside, the new Wi-Drive still
functions similarly to the original Wi-Drive, with is simple and accessible.
Unfortunately, the hardware didn't receive any proper updates; having USB 3.0
support would've been great.
