EXR Auto mode and motion detection: In low light and movement subject condition, motion detection feature will be activated and ISO will be highly increased to avoid blurred image. Meanwhile, if the subject does not move, ISO will be set at low level and anti-vibration mode is used to reduce noise.

EXR sensor of Fujifilm was Super CCD in the past. From 2011, the company turned to use BSI CMOS sensor (Backside Illuminated) for its camera. Fujifilm has rotated the pixel array 45 degrees on EXR sensor to improve the resolution in horizontal and vertical side. BSI EXR CMOS sensor has appropriate modes for each scene such as HR (High Resolution), DR (Wide Dynamic Range), SN (High Sensitivity & Low Noise).
