Because of belonging to gaming laptop together with mighty 17-inch screen, G75 is not light at all. It weighs 4.5 kg (including battery, not charger). But its design is solidity to compensate. The whole body is made of stiff plastic covered be a rubber layer which helps user to hold it more easily. However, it is dirty easily. In addition, some other details are remade harmoniously, typically the cooling bottom path has been flattened a lot more than G73. It is likely that G73 is the giant version of G55.

Equipped with 74Wh battery, the battery life is not high though. The main reason is the 3D display. Because HD graphics card is integrated in CPU Core i7 Ivy Bridge cannot output images to 3D screen with a frequency of 120Hz, so it defaults to off in the bios setup. It means that the GTX 670M graphics card will run 24/24, and it leads to a problem that the laptop will become hot and consume more battery energy. Also, G74VW uses the matt display which helps to manifesting the 3D effects better, getting rid of flares and the brightness and color depth are much better.

An admirable trait is the chicklet keyboard of G75 has been improved much with better bouncing level and no more flex phenomenon. The speaker 2.1 is evaluated fairly well for gaming; however, the volume is not loud enough to drown the surrounding noises. Therefore, it will be suitable for quite places.
