Performance
Experiment with hardware configurations
built on the Intel HM77 Express motherboard platform, processor standard
voltage Intel Core i5-3210M (2.5 GHz, 3 MB smart cache, 35W TPD), discrete
graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M, 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz bus and a storage
systems combines 128 GB SDD and 750 GB HDD.
Detailed

Test results below show the overall
performance of the new Gigabyte's ultrabook is impressive. The power of the
midrange discrete graphics card GeForce GT 640M not only help V2 U2442 to meet
office work, but also is suitable for architectural design, 3D graphics or
gaming entertainment, of course, it's still in some certain levels because
mobile graphics still cannot be compared with desktop graphics. Specifically,
the 3DMark 11 test sets Performance configuration, U2442 V2 reach 1,666 points
and 1,727 points for overall performance, which is 3 times higher than the
integrated HD Graphics 4000 of the Core i7-3517U (557 Graphic point) and 3.26
times higher than the Core i5-3317U (511 points).

7 Score
With heavy gameAlien vs. Predator,
the average rate reaches 48.1 fps and reduced to 41.2 fps when set the graphics
setting to medium (medium quality, 0xAA and 4xAF). Similar to Resident Evil
6, the testing model gets 2.570 points with a playable "comment"
but stutter occurs (lag).
Heavy
game testing for laptop graphics
A solid-state SSD was used to be a system
partition has contributed to improve the overall performance, while providing
the ability to respond more quickly, such as the boot process only takes about
12 seconds counted from pressing the power button until to Modern UI interface
"Turn on fast boot" of Windows 8. With PCMark 05 emulator which

MobileMark 2007 Productivity test, configure the High Performance mode.
MobileMark 2007's results showed that U2442 V2 count last 5 hours 34 minutes
with screen brightness at 40% (the same as laptop battery mode) and only 4
hours and 30 minutes with maximum screen brightness (100%). Similarly, in the
media test with 720p movie also configure the ultrabook with High Performance
mode and maximum screen brightness (100%), this ultrabook's battery life reaches
3 hours of continuous playing.
Heat dissipation capability

degrees
Besides those above performance evaluation,
we also recorded the heat dissipation capability of the ultrabook in
environments with average ambient temperature is 26oC degrees. It
works smoothly running office applications, light gaming entertainment. The design
of the cooling system for graphics card and processor makes an efficient
cooling system and minimize noise With the 3DMark graphics task, the cooling
system is operating smoothly and efficiently when the highest temperatures of
processor and integrated graphics are respectively 78 and 81oC
degrees, which is significantly lower than the other laptop models are equipped
with discrete graphics.
