Adding a SharePoint Folder

Although Windows Phone 8 automatically populates the team site with your Office 365 SharePoint folders, you might occasionally want to add SharePoint folders that are not a part of your Office 365 account. To do so, go to the Places screen and complete these steps:

1. Tap the New icon.

2. Enter the URL for the SharePoint site you want to open.

Searching for a Document

A quick glance at the Places screen confirms the fact that you can store Office documents in a variety of locations. As such, it can sometimes be tough to remember where a particular document is stored. Fortunately, you can search for an Office document. To do so, open the Places screen and complete these steps:

1. Tap the Search icon.

2. Enter your search criteria.

Search Scope

By default, a search looks for documents in all possible locations. However, you can limit the search scope by flicking the Search screen to the left or right. For example, if you want to search only for documents stored on your phone, you can flick the Search screen to the Phone page and then perform your search.
